PENCOM was established in 1982 to offer component solutions to OEM design engineers. As a privately held company, PENCOM has cultivated a proactive management style, enabling swift and informed decision-making to meet customer needs.

Today, PENCOM's global presence solidifies its position as the leading one-stop-shop in the component manufacturing industry, offering reliable access to standard and custom parts, finishing, kits, assemblies, and inventory management.

Since its inception, PENCOM's team has collaborated with design engineers, delivering solutions for product designs. Each new design has reinforced PENCOM's reputation for solving complex design challenges. From concept to production, PENCOM's design solutions are utilized worldwide. By establishing local logistics centers and adopting a "SOLUTIONS" approach to customer needs, PENCOM enhances service and support levels. Currently, PENCOM operates over 25 logistics sites across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

In 1999, PENCOM acquired Accuracy Screw Machine, a manufacturing facility in Hayward, California. With plants in Hayward, California; Nogales, Mexico; and Dongguan, China, PENCOM offers comprehensive precision machining, turning, milling, and high-volume production services. These facilities produce PENCOM Captive Screws, Standoffs, Spacers, Press-in Sheet Metal Fasteners (Zins), and Inserts for Plastics (Zerts).

The acquisition of Visible Inventory in 2005 positioned PENCOM as a leader in INVENTORY AUTOMATION. Customers no longer need to actively manage inventory, as Visible Inventory provides remote monitoring. PENCOM's "Manufactured globally, supplied locally" philosophy ensures low-cost global manufacturing and localized inventory management.
