Introduction of Zhixin International
Zhixin Middle School is a base for basic education international exchange and cooperation in Guangzhou, and a pioneer in international education in the Greater Bay Area. To meet students' diverse learning needs, during the 90th anniversary of the school's establishment in 2011, the school proposed that internationalization of education would be an important strategy for future development. The International Department of Zhixin Middle School was established in 2012. It is an official AP teaching center authorized by the College Board (Authorization Code: 694022), an official ACT-GAC teaching and testing center, and an ETS-certified "TOEFL English Learning Cooperation Demonstration School." It ranks among the top 50 schools in the Hurun China International School Top 100 Ranking and has been selected as one of the Top 100 Digital Brands in China's International Schools. The International Department is independently managed by Zhixin Middle School. By 2020, it had enrolled nine cohorts of students, with 97.5% of graduates admitted to universities ranked within the top 50 globally or in the United States.
The Yisha Campus of Zhixin Middle School (No. 2 Chunxiao Street, Yisha Island) is a public international campus in Guangzhou, scheduled to officially open in February 2022. The campus plans to offer 24 classes and add 750 new student seats. All facilities are designed and built to international first-class standards. After its completion, it will feature internationally advanced subject classrooms and laboratories, auditoriums, sports and arts venues, and supporting facilities. Functional halls and classrooms include a multi-functional conference hall, black box theater, football field, basketball court, volleyball hall, badminton hall, indoor swimming pool, internationally standardized laboratories, cooking room, clothing room, yoga room, photo darkroom, Mac laboratory, music room, drama room, etc. It will offer a Chinese and Western-style cafeteria, student dormitories, and staff dormitories, with laundry rooms on each floor of the dormitories. The school plans to establish a college admissions guidance center, student happiness and development center, teacher development center, and language training center.
