The company is headquartered in Yorkshire, UK, with additional offices in the United States, South Korea, and Stockholm, Sweden.

Founded in 1996, Peratech pioneered the creation of proprietary Quantum Tunneling Composite (QTC) materials and engineered pressure sensor design teams to provide solutions for next-generation touch and pressure sensing technologies, ensuring an unparalleled user experience.

By integrating 19 years of expertise in the application of QTC materials, software development, and Human Machine Interface (HMI) display and control, Peratech offers comprehensive touch solutions.

The company's core intellectual property is safeguarded by an international patent portfolio. Peratech's QTC technology has been incorporated into over one million devices, ranging from smartphones, electronic writing boards, industrial controls, cordless drills, to NASA's robotic systems in space!

Recent advancements in QTC material technology have expanded its applications, particularly in critical markets such as automotive control sensing and next-generation consumer and industrial touch solutions. QTC is the perfect technology for haptic feedback, enabling the integration of pressure sensitivity into touch interfaces.

QTC materials are currently produced through electronic printing, resulting in thin, flexible, pressure-sensitive layers measuring only a few micrometers thick. These new properties have replaced traditional techniques, opening up numerous new opportunities for application, including in flexible smart wearables and compact installations.

QTC can be widely applied in sectors like consumer electronics, automotive, aerospace, defense, toys, games, mobile phones, computers, and any market requiring three-dimensional touch input.

In pursuit of commercializing products on a large scale, Peratech decided to invest over $20 million in Suzhou, China in 2018, establishing an application design and research department. The company projects annual sales exceeding 100 million RMB within three years, with the local design team in Suzhou growing to approximately 50 members.
