Engel, established in 1945 by Mr. Ludwig Engel, plays a leading role in the global injection molding machine market. The headquarters is located in Schwertberg, Austria. ENGEL follows a family-owned management model that guarantees the stability of the company and the continuous development of its products and services. With over 60 years of experience in manufacturing injection molding machines, ENGEL has become one of the largest manufacturers in this industry. ENGEL has a total of nine factories worldwide, located in Europe, Asia (Korea/Pyungtaek, China/Shanghai), and America/York, among others. ENGEL branches spread across 20 countries, and representative offices are present in over 70 countries.

ENGEL Shanghai is the eighth production facility of the ENGEL group worldwide. The first phase was inaugurated on May 19, 2007, featuring a production floor space of over 8,000 square meters dedicated to the manufacturing and assembly of machine components for the large-scale Duo series in Shanghai. A 1,000 square meter modern office provides ample space for sales, service, and training. The second phase was completed on April 20, 2012, doubling the factory's capacity to approximately 21,000 square meters. In 2017, ENGEL Shanghai celebrated its tenth anniversary and the completion of the fourth phase expansion on September 12th.
