About VWAC

Volkswagen (Anhui) Components Co., Ltd. (VWAC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Automatic Transmission (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., is situated in Jingkai Xinchuang Industrial Park, Hefei City, Anhui Province. As a new subsidiary of Volkswagen Group China established in July 2021, VWAC focuses on producing high-voltage battery systems for Volkswagen Anhui's all-electric vehicles based on the Group’s Modular Electric Drive Toolkit (MEB platform). Production start (SOP) is planned for the second half of 2023. VWAC will operate as a "smart factory" equipped with advanced technology, playing a pivotal role in Volkswagen Group and the advancement of industry e-mobility.
