Mitsubishi Chemical Methacrylates (Huizhou) Co., Ltd. (MCMHZ), established on March 16, 2004, is one of the first companies in the world to use the C4 process for MMA monomer synthesis. The investor is Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC), with a total investment of $132.1 million. Located in the Petrochemical Industrial Park of the Daya Bay Economic & Technological Development Zone in Huizhou, Guangdong, it covers an area of 134,514 square meters. Using isobutylene from CSPC's raffinate-1 as raw material, the company produces 100,000 tons of MMA annually. The main equipment is imported, featuring low cost, low energy consumption, low pollution, low toxicity, and high automation.
