A European UK fashion retail brand is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser based in their Shanghai office. The primary responsibilities include overseeing garment orders, sample tracking, and performing various administrative tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Attend buying meetings, follow up orders with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery. Review purchase orders and monitor production status daily to track progress and guarantee timely delivery.
2. Arrange sample submissions for customer approval. Inspect samples, send them to customers, and communicate with customers to obtain approval comments, ensuring suppliers proceed accordingly.
3. Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management. Candidates should possess honesty, proactivity, and a strong team spirit, aiming to independently manage order follow-ups in the future.
Job Requirements:
1. Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree.
2. Work Experience: 1-2 years of experience in purchasing or trading offices, specializing in woven garments such as swimwear, fashion dresses/tops, outerwear, etc., with a strong understanding of order follow-up procedures and production progress until shipment.
3. Language Proficiency: Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
4. Technical Skills: Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
