Tianjin Monocon Refractories Co., Ltd. was established in TEDA in 2002 by Monocon International Refractories Ltd. By the end of 2005, IFGL Refractories Ltd., India's leading refractory company, acquired the entire Monocon Group, including its subsidiaries in China, UK, and USA.
IFGL operates globally with branch offices and manufacturing facilities in the USA, UK, Germany, Italy, India, and China, as well as direct sales offices and agents/distributors in most other countries.
Tianjin Monocon Refractories Co. Ltd. and Tianjin Monocon Aluminous Refractories Co. Ltd. are subsidiaries of IFGL Refractories Ltd., which is primarily dedicated to designing, developing, manufacturing, and supplying innovative, high-quality products to steelmakers worldwide.
The IFGL Monocon group collaborates with leading steel companies such as Arcelor Mittal, Corus, Tata Steel, and Bluescope to improve and develop new products based on customer requirements.
Tianjin Monocon's two manufacturing plants are located in the Tianjin Economic Development Zone, Tianjin. They are ISO9001 compliant, certified by BSI. These units manufacture specialized and consistently high-quality refractory powders for applications in tundish, EAF, and ladle monolithics, and slag control darts for BOF furnaces to improve steel quality.
