Maersk Container Industry Qingdao (MCIQ) was established in 1998 and covers an area of approximately 330,000 square meters. It specializes in the manufacturing of refrigerated containers and cooling (refrigeration) units. Over the past 25 years, MCIQ has grown significantly, becoming a large-scale manufacturing enterprise with more than 2,000 employees. MCIQ is part of Maersk Container Industry (MCI), a wholly owned Danish company that produces advanced reefer containers and refrigeration units for the intermodal transport sector. Our products serve a global customer base, including shipping lines, fruit multinationals, and leasing companies. Our Qingdao facility (MCIQ) hosts our primary manufacturing operations, including Production, Quality Production, Production Technology, as well as Supply Chain/Category Management and other business functions. We also have a global network of over 400 service providers, ensuring our excellent customer service worldwide.
