富源县墨红富盛煤矿有限责任公司富盛煤矿位于富源县城190°方向、直线距离约23公里处，地处富源县墨红镇境内，交通较为便利。生产规模为60万吨/年，矿权范围由20个拐点坐标圈定，采矿权面积为3.4368平方公里，开采深度为+1950至+1400米。矿区构造属于中等类型，水文地质条件为中等类型，工程地质条件以层状岩类为主的中等类型，地质环境质量为中等类型。该矿井为高瓦斯矿井，煤尘具有爆炸危险性，煤层自燃发火倾向为自燃（二类）。
