Volkswagen Automotive Transmission (Dalian) Co., Ltd. (VWATD) is a fully-owned subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group in China.

The company's primary output includes the DSG-DQ200 seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, a versatile product compatible with various popular models from the Volkswagen, Audi, and Skoda brands. This innovative transmission integrates the benefits of both manual and automatic gear shifts, offering users an optimal balance of efficiency, performance, smooth operation, and driving enjoyment. Moreover, VWATD also manufactures the AVS camshaft for Audi-branded vehicles, a critical component of the latest EA888 engine series, designed to enhance driving comfort through optimized fuel consumption.

Following the groundbreaking event in late 2007, the factory has witnessed significant growth over the years. On November 20th, 2020, the company celebrated a milestone with the production of its eight millionth transmission unit. Then, on March 24th, 2021, the six millionth AVS camshaft was successfully produced. Committed to environmental standards, VWATD actively engages in sustainable development initiatives under the Volkswagen Group, notably participating in the "Zero Impact Factory" project, aiming for a zero environmental impact in its operations.
