In 1987, Mr. Franco Stefani established the Modula team in Italy, producing the first Modula equipment and beginning to offer automated vertical storage solutions to industrial customers.
Modula vertical storage systems are specifically designed and manufactured for industrial sectors or application environments, used to store various products, from small electronic components or pharmaceuticals to large items such as molds or engine/car parts. These vertical storage systems can save up to 90% of floor space, enhance productivity, accelerate retrieval speeds, and improve warehouse efficiency.
After over three decades of continuous development and innovation, Modula has become a leader in the vertical storage industry. Currently, Modula serves more than 15,000 customers globally, with an annual production capacity of 4,000 units from its three manufacturing bases in Salvaterra di Casalgrande, Italy; Lewiston, USA; and Suzhou, China. In addition to these bases, Modula operates 13 branches worldwide and has a network of 45 authorized dealers.
In 2017, Modula's global sales exceeded 110 million euros. In 2018, global sales surpassed 130 million euros, with over 2,600 units sold.
Due to the rapid growth of business in the Chinese region, the group decided to build a modern factory of 2,000 square meters in the Suzhou Industrial Park to better serve Chinese customers. We welcome individuals with ideals and passion to join our team!
Modula is the name of the Italian company that designs and manufactures automatic vertical warehouses suitable for any industrial sector or environment. These vertical warehouses are used to store various types of products, from small electronic components or pharmaceuticals to heavy and bulky objects like molds or engine/car parts.
These vertical warehouses are designed to reduce occupied floor space by 90%, increase productivity, speed up picking throughput, and improve warehouse efficiency by reducing risks to both people and goods.
The first Modula unit was produced in 1987, and since then, the company has been synonymous with innovation and "Made in Italy."
Modula is part of the System group, founded in 1970 by Franco Stefani, who has pioneered many innovations in mechanical and ceramic technologies. Today, Modula serves more than 15,000 customers worldwide with an annual production capacity of 4,000 machines from its three production facilities in Salvaterra di Casalgrande, Italy; Lewiston, USA; and Suzhou, China.
In addition to these facilities, Modula has 13 subsidiaries in Europe, America, Asia, and Africa, along with a vast network of 45 authorized dealers. This ensures a presence where our clients are, allowing us to service all our major markets and respond quickly and locally to all our clients' needs.
Sales in 2017 exceeded 110 million euros, with significant investment in research and development.
