Today, Nexans' products and solutions are widely used across various sectors in China, including shipbuilding (shipboard cables), rail transport (rolling stock cables), nuclear power plants (nuclear cables), aerospace (high-temperature wires and telecommunications cables), material handling (handling cables), power networks (HV cables/submarine cables and MV/HV accessories), telecommunication equipment and networks (telecom cables), and construction (LAN systems).

Recognizing the growing importance of the Chinese market, Nexans continues to increase its investments in China to expand operations and enhance local production capabilities. In 2001, Nexans established its Greater China Headquarters in Shanghai to oversee all business activities in the region. Currently, Nexans operates two wholly-owned subsidiaries and one joint venture in China, with representative offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Jinan, Dalian, Chengdu, Xi'an, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, employing over 2000 staff.
