Chongqing Kolbenschmidt Piston Co., Ltd., situated in the Yufu Industrial Park of Liangjiang New Area, is a new Sino-German joint venture focusing on the production of pistons and related components for automotive engines. Construction of our facility began in November 2016 and commenced operations in July 2017. Upon reaching full production capacity, we will produce 20 million pistons annually to serve our primary customers, including Chang'an Ford and FAW-Volkswagen. The Chongqing plant is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai Kolbenschmidt Piston Co., Ltd., which was established in 1997 as a joint venture between SAIC Huayu Automotive System Co., Ltd. and Kolebschmidt Germany.
