FORWARD HYDRO POWER is a manufacturer of micro, mini and small hydro power plants with a capacity of up to 50 MW per unit. It is one of the very few companies globally with the know-how to deliver technically perfect units of all major turbine types, including Francis, Kaplan, Tubular, Pelton, and Turgo. All equipment is produced in Forward Hydro's own facilities, though some components are sourced overseas. The company specializes in installing hydro power stations not only in run-of-the-river schemes but also in drinking water distribution systems, irrigation channels, and wastewater treatment plants.

The company’s history dates back to the early 1950s when its founder, who was part of the government hydraulic energy department, designed and built the first small Kaplan turbine. This was followed by numerous projects that eventually led to the establishment of a private manufacturing plant as per government requirements. Thus began the tradition of turbine production over 60 years ago.

Since its modernization in 2001, FORWARD HYDRO POWER has manufactured, delivered, and installed more than 2,000 turbines in nearly 30 countries worldwide, achieving a total installed capacity exceeding 850 MW. The company offers various services, including assembly inspections, turbine installation supervision, commissioning, round-the-clock online technical support, personnel training, maintenance, and world-class warranty and post-warranty care.
