Swiss DGS Group was founded in 1925 and mainly produces aluminum, magnesium, and zinc pressure die-casting components for renowned car manufacturers such as Volkswagen and DaimlerChrysler (more than 40% of these components are used for BMW and Mercedes-Benz car brands).

The DGS Group operates three factories worldwide, with its headquarters located in Switzerland. The other two factories are in the Czech Republic and China. The Nansha factory in Guangzhou, China, was established in 2007. In 2013, the company expanded its capital and established a new factory in the Pearl River Industrial Park in Guangzhou, with an expected total investment of $35 million by 2016.
