KONE Elevators Co., Ltd. was established in December 1996 in Kunshan, China, serving as the primary elevator and escalator manufacturing base for the Asia-Pacific region within the KONE Group. In 2013, KONE inaugurated its new Kunshan Park and R&D Center, which is the largest production and R&D facility globally, spanning approximately 240,000 square meters. KONE China not only fulfills domestic demand but also exports products to more than 90 countries and regions including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Middle East.
By the end of 2014, KONE had 50 branches, 60 offices, 368 service centers nationwide, and approximately 10,300 employees.
