The REINHAUSEN Group, known as Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR), was founded in 1868 and is headquartered in Regensburg, Germany. It comprises 42 subsidiaries and 7 affiliated companies operating in 193 countries worldwide.

In 1926, MR introduced a groundbreaking on-load tap changer for regulating transformer voltage, establishing itself as a leader in the tap changer market. Today, MR extends its expertise in intelligent transformer control beyond tap changers to include Messko products for monitoring other critical transformer functions. The company also excels in areas such as reactive power compensation, hollow composite insulators, and high-voltage testing and diagnostic systems.

In 2006, MR established two wholly-owned subsidiaries in China. MR China, based in Shanghai under the name KaiDe Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., manages sales, customer support, and technical maintenance for all MR products in the Chinese market.

With over 40 years of successful collaboration with China, the REINHAUSEN Group is further deepening its commitment to the crucial Chinese transformer industry. Currently, MR operates two subsidiaries in China: Shanghai and Suzhou.
