In 1984, best friends Eric Bensussen and Jay Deutsch turned their shared passion for sports into a flourishing enterprise that has reshaped an industry. Initially established as Sports Marketing Inc., the company aimed to link fans to the teams they adored through merchandise. As the company expanded, it widened its scope to corporate America and started recruiting staff, prompting Jay and Eric to rename the firm Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, Inc. (BDA). Since then, BDA has garnered a reputation for aiding companies in extending their brands via the influence of merchandise. By adopting a full-service approach to crafting merchandise that seamlessly integrates into a client’s brand structure and business goals, BDA has revolutionized the realm of three-dimensional advertising, giving rise to the concept of the Merchandise AgencySM.
Today, BDA boasts over 1000 associates and operates in global offices to animate their clients’ brands through merchandise that engages, involves, and inspires. Besides collaborating with hundreds of the Fortune 1000’s most respected brands, BDA also oversees merchandise promotions alongside leading Hollywood studios, all major sports leagues (MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL), and many top gaming companies.
