Based on the development needs of the Chinese market, it will build its third wholly foreign-owned automotive glass manufacturing factory in Qingdao, located in the Huangdao Development Zone, adjacent to Saint-Gobain Hanlu Glass Plant.

The *** line of the Qingdao plant is expected to be officially put into operation in mid-2012, and will become the first application of the most advanced energy-saving and environmental protection technology for Chinese automakers. This investment also marks a new step forward in Saint-Gobain Group's development strategy in Asia and emerging markets.
