1983ASIA, initiated by Yang Songyao (Malaysia) and Su Su (China), was founded in 2012 in Shenzhen, China. In 2017, they launched the Asia Aesthetics Institute, dedicated to exploring Asian culture and arts through graphic design. As a member of TDAA (Asia Design Alliance), their team utilizes a contemporary perspective to delve into the amalgamation of Asian aesthetics, contributing to an international trend of Asian mixed aesthetics. Their services encompass brand design, mascot design, packaging design, product design, and art collaborations.

1983ASIA has been invited as a tutor for the "Asian Visual Design" course at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Macao Polytechnic University, and TSUBAKI. Their work has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the DFA Asia's Most Influential Design Awards, HKDA Global Design Awards, SDA Global Design Awards, TDC Tokyo Typography Awards, and Jin Dai Qiang Design Awards. Their achievements have been acknowledged globally, receiving the "Design Hero" honor from A' Design Award. Their creations have been featured in influential publications like CTAT - Creative Dialogue in Asia, APD - Asia Pacific Design Yearbook, GALLERY, BRAND, and in significant books and magazines including VICTION: ARY, SANDU, SENDPOINTS, and DESIGNER.

In 2016, they created the cover for the design magazine 'CUTOUT', centered around Chinese graphic designers. Their BEHANCE profile has been honored with 15 Best Works badges, and as of April 2019, their website has attracted over 90,000 views. Their artworks have been showcased internationally in cities like London, Berlin, Milan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Tianjin, Chengdu, Xi'an, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. Additionally, they hosted the "Amazing 1983ASIA" Asian design exhibition tour in Taiwan and Macau from 2016 to 2018.
